Top outstanding and qualified performers in the Professional Advanced Class will receive

a cash prize up to £200 (Hong Kong Region exclusive)

and the chance to participate in the UK BIMC Final in February 2027.

Participants may choose to perform on any string, piano, woodwind, brass, percussion or present a vocal performance.

Each person may participate in up to three different classes.

​

The BIMC Hong Kong Round offers online sessions for different age groups, with Distinction, Excellent, and Merit awards in each class. Each participant will receive a certificate from the UK BIMC and a trophy from HK Music for Youth.

Life-Changing Prizes

The BIMC Final will be held in Essex, UK, in February 2027. The top three winners will receive cash prizes of up to £1,800. The Grand Prize includes a scholarship of approximately £60,000 per year for up to six years, the customised ‘Specialist Music Programme’ jointly offered by BIMC and the Guildhall School of Music (value circa £2,000 per year), and numerous solo and orchestral performance opportunities every year. This programme is suitable for aspiring young musicians, singers, or pianists.

"The Brentwood International Music Competition (Hong Kong Region) is an online Preliminary round competition in Hong Kong, authorised by Brentwood School and operated by HKMFY (Hong Kong Music for Youth). This Hong Kong round is not the original Preliminary Round in the UK. Instead, qualified performers will be exempted from submitting videos to the UK again, and will be assessed alongside other performers worldwide for qualification to the Final round."
