This year's music festival will feature both online and live sessions, with separate judging and award presentations.

Venue: HK Cultural Centre
Last day of entry: 30 April 2026
*No late or additional entries will be accepted
To register for the online competition, please prepare a video link beforehand and attach it to the registration form.

For the live sessions, each competitor will receive a mark form and a certificate immediately

For the online sessions, results will be announced by 30 May 2026

Placing will be awarded in each group. The best performance- First Place (must score 90 or above) will be awarded a trophy

It is possible to have more than one Second and Third place in each group

Competitors scoring 85 and above will receive a Gold Award; 80-84 Silver and 75-79 Bronze.

Tutors of placed performers will obtain an Excellent Teaching Award
ALL participants must follow the competition requirements for the chosen class, including age, repertoire level and time limit. Those who do not meet the requirements risk disqualification. Payment is not refundable nor transferable in any case.

Competition related information

Competitors shall comply with the requirement of competition class selected, including age limit (age calculated as of 23 May 2026), piece requirement, and time limit. Failure to comply will result in disqualification without further notice. Entry fees will be non-refundable and non-transferable.

Entries containing incomplete or inaccurate information may cause disqualification without further notice. No changes of any information will be accepted, including the spelling of the competitor's name, performing piece, competition class, or other details.

Once the application is submitted, entry fees are non-refundable in any case. Entries are non-transferable and cannot be reassigned or used for other purposes.

In case of severe weather or force majeure, the competition schedule and format will be adjusted accordingly. Updates will be announced via the official website, Facebook page, email, or other channels.

Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email specifying the competition date, time and relevant guideline. Should you have not received the confirmation email on 10 May 2026, please contact us for assistance.

Results of the online competitions will be sent to you via email by 30 May 2026. Mark form and certificate will be posted to your registered address.

Hong Kong Music for Youth (HKMFY) reserves the right of final decision in case of any disputes.

- Should you be entering more than one candidate in separate forms (e.g. family members or students), you only need to pay ONE total amount for all. Be sure to list all candidate names in the application.
- You agree and understand the competition will be held at any time between 10am-10pm on 23,24,25 May 2026. Each class will run for one to three hours approximately.
- Any absence to the competition, the registration fee is not refundable nor transferable.
